Congratulations, you got 2nd in a club race. Be sure to put that one in your CV.

You should be stoked that people regard beating you so highly, Mike!

I guess you've never met the clown  It gets a bit annoying when people start claiming things from club races and weekly track meets though, everyone has bad days/races.

Thinking about giving track a go, where/when does it happen here in Chch? (Couldn't find earlier threads about this). I'm fine on a fixed wheel, but don't have any track gear..

If it's good and well I would rather being winning medals at Worlds and NZ titles than pimping the odd star through tactical cunning in training races.

Track Racing at Denton Speeddrome in Hornby every Sunday afternoon from 4pm and after Christmas on Wednesdays as well.

He is. Not sure if any other 16 year old has won three Open races in his first season and won a Junior Worlds Medal within 12 months of ever touching a track bike.

While if I score a few more scalps on track I could well become the Corey Hodgeson of the Velodrome.

The Native Indians of Northern American would capture enemies and take their scalp (ie the top of their heads) as a trophy.

That's a bit aggressive, can't say I've ever done that.
