Re: The Tour Aotearoa 2016 Live Tracking

I've just been out on course to hang out with Jeff Lyall, Matt Dewes, Geof Blance and Steve Scott from the summit of the Rimutaka Rail Trail through to the ferry terminal. All in good spirits, taking the blustery wind in their stride. Sounds like there were some feral locals in Masterton throwing shit out of their car at them last night, which is a bit of a shame (but not unheard of, unfortunately).

Jeff assured me his gooch was a "1.5 day" gooch, which I was pleased to hear. No pics, sorry.

He's riding with Ollie, but his tracker crapped out yesterday morning.
So it's Australians in #1 and # at the moment :satan:

Oi! Ollie's not an Ozzie! He might live there but isn't he a Chch boy?

A Nelsonian by origin I think you will find. He only became a Chch boy to do ungineering at Uni, but of course did linger a while after that. That's the thing about successful/notable people - everyone wants to claim them as their own. Legend in his own lifetime that lad.

Of course pedalingkiwi is correct

 Yes I was just being a bit cheeky, there have been numerous rumours of his return to Nelson and thought 'aussification' might hurry him up a little :D

We are on the 10th calendar day but 10 days elapsed time is 12:00pm midday on Wednesday (10 * 24 hours = 240 hours later).

Lol. Half a day enforced wait in Invercargill :paranoid:

Also - that would probably give Anja enough time to join them

Finished!

That is an impressive effort.

Back to watching my mate who is a mere mortal, and is currently in the manawatu, he did start 2 days later though......

Yer in discussion on the facebook simon suggested if they finish before noon Anja will be the first finisher :o
But clearly they put the brakes on last night and could have finished around midnight, so 9d12h is the mark for Dave Sharpe :satan:

Or have they or have they just stopped before the line, waiting for the clock to click to Noon?
