I find my macpac ones to be good, but yes it depends on whether you are a 'hot' person or not

Yeah, I was wondering that too. I didn't go as it was a bit last minute to be trying to take the gears off my bike... that, and I was kinda broken - well, maybe not broken, but dented anyway. Did a short XC ride there on Monday and it was well busy. The carpark was full. Didn't see any SSers at all.

Anyone care to report back? :eh:

I bought one of those DaBomb chain tensioners from tardme, has anyone else tried one and got any comments? I'm planning on using it when I want to convert my xc bike for single speed when the old fully rigid single speed won't cut it.

yeah, arrived today. Cost $6 for shipping, and all they did was put it in a big second hand box (shoe box sized box for it to bash around inside) and paid $3.50 to Courier post .... still, it arrived.

My auction closed on Friday or Saturday, and they seemed to be off work until now.

Its just a very basic black chain tensioner, but should do the trick. I'm thinking I might take it to London with me so I can convert to single speed and do a few single speed events.

If I was going to get a singlespeed right now, I'd look at a Kona Unit

Used to have a cool Azonic DS2 s/s - which is now being ridden around by someone who I'm told is also very happy with it. Singlespeeds are kickass!
