Part of The "James" Mountainsports Series on the 28th Jan 2012 at the St James Station Conservation area, Hanmer Springs, The "James" Macpac Mountainman race http://www.stjamesmountainsports.co.nz/mountain-man/ is an off road Ironman type event for those Ironmen & women who think they're tough enough!!!

The race starts at Lake Tennyson and finishes at St James Homestead (12km from Hanmer Springs) and for the first race in 2012 will only include the MTB & mountain run stages, with the swim leg to be included from 2013.

The full stages are:
Swim 3.8 km (Lake Tennyson)
MTB 115 km
Mountain run 46 km
