Storm Thorgersons work for Yes and all those 70's prog rock bands

plus the Led Zeppelin covers are uniformly oarsome.

I always had a soft spot for ELO's artwork - and a good example of the joys of gatefold covers!!!

I think this has relevance to this thread ...
Wikipedia wrote: The title of the album was taken from an inside joke. Eric Clapton had been thinking of buying a racing bicycle and was discussing it with Ginger Baker, when a roadie named Mick Turner commented, "it's got them Disraeli Gears", meaning to say "derailleur gears", but instead alluding to 19th Century British Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli. The band thought this was hilarious, and decided that it should be the title of their next album. Had it not been for Mick, the album would simply have been entitled Cream.

Great album and a fantastic album cover!

a great cover does not always a great album make. I have a Hawkwind album with a four way gatefold sleeve that turns into a shield. With CHAOS on it. F+n cool.

the album is dreadful early-mid 70's prog rock: noodling on about wizards and such. I think I bought it because Michael Moorcock (his real name) is on it. He was an author I have read most of his books at the time.

I might take some photos.. google cant seem to find it.
