Postby hdb on Wed 13/Mar/13 10:20pm

From the Nelson Mountain Bike Club: http://www.nelsonmountainbikeclub.org.n ... 3/13#a3988
Hancock Forest Closure - Effective 6am Saturday 16th March
Due to the ever increasing fire risk levels in Hancock Forest Management Forests, all public access including for mountain biking, walking, hunting, horse riding etc to all HFM forests will stop from 6am Saturday 16th March 2013. Mountainbikers need to take note of this specifically for the Sharlands Valley trails, the Fringed Hill access road and the HFM plantation area of the Codgers MTB Park bounded by Fireball Road/Groom Road.

Access conditions will be updated if there is significant rain next week.
This closure includes closure of public easements under Section 32 of the Forest and Rural Fires Act.

Looks like you might get a tiny bit of respite on Sunday - Forecast, reasonable likelyhood of rain.
