Bastard should be smacked around, letting down his country to go and make money entertaining the Indians. Even in NZ the national elite cricketers get paid a better-than-alright salary to play a game, it's not like he has to play for free, the way things were back in the 1940s!

Fail.

He is doing NZ a much bigger favour by not playing tests if it means he can play limited overs matches for a few years, he's no good to anyone if he gets injured.

And who can blame him if he wants to earn some decent money before he retires.

He thrashed himself for ages in tests. Broke himself a whole lot of times. If he'd carried on he'd have well and truly fucked himself outta contention and would have had to retire.

Being sensible and dropping tests might keep him in ODIs for another few seasons... Which would be all good. Besides, ODIs is where he's at his Aussie-wicket-taking best. He really fucks those chumps up when he gets going. I think he just about bowled poor Ricky's head clean off :0

Also, him and Brendon and the likes could do with plenty of T20 practice for the T20 worlds...

Also, that was some top-notch streaking there. Broadcasting his intentions on the Facebook weeks in advance AND managing to escape from the grounds = WIN.

You're showing some Good Patriotic Spirit there. I sympathise with the problem all fast bowlers have of breaking down under the strain, and slo-mo of their actions certainly shows the massive abuse they subject their leg joints to, but it's a tragedy for NZ that he's not there. The commentators were discussing this morning how Vettori has to bowl as a defensive stock bowler because he doesn't have someone like Bond at the other end.

And a lot of the breakdowns bowlers have are a result of too much zeal and not enough care in their technique, we've seen most of the aussie bowlers of the last decade break down, then go away to reinvent themselves with better line and length and less explosive power, ending up better bowlers for the change. maybe Bond could have slowed down a bit, concentrated on steady line and length and been a vital link, holding up one end while Vettori could be wreaking havoc at the other end.

Maybe we should do a spinner swap - for what the kiwis are doing with Vettori, you might as well have Hauritz - whereas the Aussies could give Dan the support he deserves so that he could become the record-breaking champion he has the potential to be.

I doubt Vettori would want to wear a baggy green, except for maybe if you let him cut some leg holes in it and allow him to wear it as undies.

Jokes - with a good woggie name like his he'd fit right in! Probably find half the population of Melbourne are his long lost cousins from the mountains of Reggio Callabria

How's that? We're all wogs or convicts in Oz, didn't you know? ... It's not racist to be able to tell the difference. :D

Anyway, it seems I'm the only bloke posting on this thread who believes in Dan and wants to see him achieve greatness regardless of who he plays for.

Wasn't session 3 awesome today? GO PUP!!!
