I apologise to Hamilton then. One of the Aus-Pak games (Adelaide I think) had 11,000 spectators and it was reported as being the worst turnout in the history of the 50 over game in Oz.

Back last century I played a few games of cricket for my work in a social-corporate league where each innings was 22 overs with every player bowling 2 overs. Maybe we could bring that in for ODIs, with each team getting 2 innings? :p

The fact that you can't always generalise from one country to the next has obviously not filtered through to sociology.

Muldoon said that. I would have said he was more cunning than intelligent, but I suppose he had to be intelligent too...

Apparantly he had a 'mensa' level Intelligence Quotient. I read of him that the weird crick in his left cheek was a sign he was very Left-Brain oriented, or was that Right Brain? I have no idea cos Im not very intelliegent, but I do remember reading about that.

Rob was a vile evil old bastard, I remember his years well. he was probably even less informed about cricket and less balanced in his perspectives than a certain former PM who define himself as a "cricket tragic" and is now likely to become chief of the ICC - which is certainly tragic for cricket!

Its a good thing the ground isn't any bigger.
Because if it was the wait for the toilets would have been an hour and the hotdogs would have been gone by the 20th over.

Apart from that (and the score) was a great day out.

Also scoped out the forgotten highway on the ride home today, going to make a good bike trip.

I can tell from the hilarious videos that Rob Muldoon was a laugh riot. Hilarious some of the shit what he done. Probably wasn't good for the country, but at least he was good for a laugh.

They're looking for a top order batsman champ, Nathan McCullum ain't one of those.
