Yup, one awesome game of cricket. How good is Southee? I would be slightly worried if I was Oram. :p

I don't no why Oram is even playing, his bowling in Twenty20 is crap and he only plays a good innings every one or two seasons, Styris should have been playing or another specialist bowler like Tuffey or Arnel.

But still awesome effort by McCullum and a great comeback by Southee after being smashed in his first 2 overs.

Did Elliot play? Or has he been injured or something? He's got WAY more potential as the teams specialist all-rounder than Oram.

Oram -horribly, horribly over-rated. I cannot understand why they insist on picking him.

Oh dear indeed. What the fuck were they thinking?!

The nominee shouldda been 1) someone who actually has something to do with cricket, aside from being a fan and 2) someone who is respectable. Richard Hadlee or Richie Benaud perhaps... But John Howard should stay the fuck out of cricket.

Yeah, right! Hahahaha. But that was an awesome game on Sunday, we were right on the edge of our seats. In the end it came down to Michael Clarke chose 2 unsuitable people for the super over - Warner shouldna batted, they coulda had Clarkie or Haddin or even Johnson, Warner can be devastating, but when he's not, he's heartbreaking for his own side; and Harris shoulda bowled instead of Tait. Probably Clarkie also made an error earlier by not posting a fielder to shut down McCullum's scoop shot, and also our bowlers gave away 22 extras compared to only 2 (I think) by the kiwi bowlers. That was the game right there.

I see the Aussie sports news is full of the Aussie cricketers' praise for Southee, as they should, he was amazing at the end.

But "aussies on a downward swing"? That's a very optimistic interpretation of results for NZ and Aus over the last 3 months. :p Lots of fun in the weeks ahead . . .

And as for Howard heading the ICC: a an Aussie I can only say ... WTF!!??! There goes the game of cricket

Good to see an Aussie buckle under pressure ala Tait in the super over.

Aussies picking John Howard to head the ICC proves that they've completely lost the plot.

NZ FTW in this series. I hope Southee can keep up his yorker-bowling skillz..... If he's able to bowl like that during the power plays and at the death then the Aussies will be in real trouble :)

At least with King Johnny in the throne the darkies won't get too uppity - if they misbehave he'll send them to prison camp along with all the other que jumping illegals. Cricket will once again be an english gentleman's game
