First round at Zandvoort, Matt Halliday driving, NZ Qualified 9th.

6th in the sprint race. Halliday pretty much went from 9th to 6th in the first lap and stayed there.

1. South Africa
2. Mexico
3. France
4. Germany
5. Great Britain.

I'll post feature race results when it finishes.

Well that was kinda lame. NZ in 4th when they pitted, came in for wets at a good time, but something happened in the pitstop and they lost alot of time, then the TV feed cut out so I dunno what exactly went wrong. They ended up 11th, so no points in the feature race.

1. Germany
2. USA
3. Australia
4. Netherlands
5. Mexico

Hmmm - a bit odd. It worked when I posted!? It is an article from about 6 weeks ago confirming the first round of 2007 in Taupo (sixth round of competition). Also outlines the $2M funding from the govt to upgrade the pit garages. Work has definately started with ground level of almost all the pit garages has been concreted.

I think the track changes have been made, and there is also alot of construction for what looks to be team parking areas.

They were blathering on in the commentary that they changed the design so that doesn't happen anymore, but I saw it happen to someone else too.

The Taupo round is on the website as 19-21st of January. It does say TBC but I don't see why it would be cancelled now when the track upgrades (new sweeper) are finished and now they are just doing the facilities upgrade.

Does anyone else get the shits when they hear/read "Black Beauty" in the media. Does the NZ A1 Team approve of this name?

You guys don't think black is beautiful? Are your racialist? Personally I'm proud of my negroid heritage.

Wouldn't we have to sell out to the Australians if that happened?
