On the contrary karl was at the centre of the industrial revolution so has a great insight into the plight of the worker in mass production upon which both keynes and freidman built their ideas

As I understand it the belief that "God wrote the bible himself" is at the core of fundamentalist belief.
That is how they got into their seemingly-ridiculous positions re evolution and young-earth creationism. It looks stupid to outsiders but they are facing a terribly tough choice.

I think the idea is that God exists outside of time. This means He could be running two or more times at once.
Possibly He has a central control room with 500 quintillionn clocks on the wall, one for each universe.
