Sun On The Port Hills! W00t Fo Shizzle

Postby Tama on Sun 14/Sep/08 8:54am

Hooray for sun on the Port Hills! I've just done some bike tweaking on the verandah and am thinking that a ride to Godley Head sounds like a fine idea. See you Cantabs out there

Up there yesterday.
Still a few boggy places but the tracks are pretty good overall.

I will be up there digging ... for about the fourth day in a row! Yay for weather that dries out the clay. How I long to have dry clay to shape the trails with instead of wet slop!

I was not going to make it up there today- but at the last minute my plans changed (again!) so i''ll see you up there!

Heading off from rapaki (top of road nr gate) at 11ish if anyone wants to join us. I'm on a COve.

Woot Woot.

*changes mud tyres to someting a little more slickalishous*

yesterday I was glad I was still on winter tyres (2.1 advantages on my bike, conti slash on slg's) - whilst the track was pretty good in open sections, get in any tree cover and it was decidedly mushy (6 days of low cloud/fog/drizzle does that)

heading out for a run right now, then going sherding in the afternoon

you're not seriously going to ride the rigid down greenwood - if so I'd suggest taking some glue to put your fillings back in at the bottom
