As I said about a page ago, look closely, it looks like 20mm , infact it looks very similar to the QR15 (15mm through axle) end of my 2009 Marzo 44ATA's

They are just an upgraded version of whatever they are running for the year. I had Future Shcoks on my FSR in the early 90's, they were a Mag 21 with tricked out internals (the same internals that shipped in the standard Mag 21 the next year)

"Back In the Day", yes they were a factory fork with a few tweaks, the current generation are different from any manufacturers forks, sure there is a resemblance to Fox, but they are not a "tweaked" Fox fork

No offence but I doubt they build there own forks from the ground up, the R&D expense alone would feed an african nation. Much easier/cheaper/saner to build somene else's under lisence (or buy in the finished item) and tweak their design to what you want

None taken,

but from having had a few sets of current (well up to model year 2008) Future shock forks in my hands, (including having had a play with a cartridge or two from them) along with having had a set of forks or 2 from other brands over time (including the occasional service work on them)

But hey keep telling yourself they're just a fox fork with a pretty paint job

yes R and D is spendy, hence why Specialized poached one of Fox's top engineers, combine that with the fact that Specialized have done a wee bit of fork R and D over time (you'll find that they own the "Terralogic" patent)

Wrong, they are a stand alone design. And would not be made by another company.

And probably a little more reliable. :p

Lyric?
I was meaning the sorta FR specific forks

yeah that was my failed attempt at sarcasm.
almost every fork they do comes with a maxle option.

Oh i mean that they only make jump forks in the maxle option. not that all forks they make in maxle are jump forks
