What am I doing wrong. After riding about 30km my shoulders and neck start to ache. Will this get better over time. The more I ride the better it will get? Could the way I ride need 'refining' ???? Any ideas?

If it's a new bike but the guy has decent previous mileage I'd say yes - but of course
if it's his first ever road bike it may just be a case of getting used to the position
and adapting (people who've only mtb'd seem to suffer this - the more upright position means you don't need the core strength, so tend to slouch on a road bike taking far too much weight on their hands)
