Just over 10 places left for Kiwis. Suspect today will be the last day for NZ competitors. Get in quick.

So - when will the super secret course be named?

Have to pre-run it to make sure that I am either horribly overgeared, or drastically undergeared. Can't take the change that I might luck onto the right gearing and screw up my chances for DFL :D

The course will not be secret, it will be published about two weeks in advance to allow everyone to pre-ride it. What will wont tell you though is any information about short cuts etc. Have to keep something for a surprise on the day.

RussS - the prize for DFL has been decided on. I suggest you reconsider your strategy on trying to win this one...

I was third to last at the NZSS champs last year - only just ahead of Jeff on his 36er, and miiiiiles ahead of the deserved winner Steve on his BMX (after he had a mid-course nap). I reckon you'd have to be in pretty poor shape or on some incredibly unsuitable equipment to 'win' DFL. Good luck!

I'm guessing Tattoo and there ain't no way in hell I'm getting DFL tattooed on me. Well maybe on my butt, it wouldn't hurt right :paranoid:
I'm going for mid to back of the pack finish :)

FYI - my own experiences have shown me that the butt was the most painful place I have been tattooed (except for the back of the leg in the knee joint, but that was only a dot to show me how painful it was). More painful than ankle, more painful than armpit. True story.
