Simon Kennett Describes The Great Divide Race

Simon Kennett will be holding a talk and slide show in which he will describe his experience in the Great Divide Race.

It will be at Rongotai College's Library, at 2pm, on Sunday 17 August. Simon will also be auctioning off his GDR bike, and a few other bits and pieces. I'll try to get a confirmed list of things asap.

Rongotai College is on Coutts Street, about half way between Burkes Cycles and Rocket Bikes. The school library will be signposted from the main entrance.

Feel free to submit specific questions of interest, in this thread. Then, Simon can make sure he covers all the interesting stuff!

Sunday is beginning to look mighty busy! PNP social ride in the morning, meeting friends for brunch at 11:30am in town, then off to Rongotai to hear Simon speak!

I'm going to sift into town on my roadie, browse some shops, then head to Rongotai :thumbsup:

Then maybe head back via the Miramar/Bays part of the BP race next week :paranoid:

(depends on how shattered my legs feel :huh:

Very interesting to hear the photos described, and the little anecdotal stuff from along the adventure.

Awesome to see the auction was fairly successful and involved plenty of good humour
