I'm not having the best of luck with gear lately...

Twas a long (one-legged) ride from the crossroads in Ohariu Valley back home. Got a lift up the hill from some nice men with a van and empty trailer... :thumbsup:

Bummer. Although, taking the glass half full approach. Your power must be looking okay to do that. Might want to check the chain for extra stretch from all those watts.

I (now) hope this weather keeps up for a few days. The XTC's cracked at Oli's, the CRX is waiting on a new left crank at Oli's, the Red Roubaix's waiting on a heavenly service at Oli's. I'm intending to do a long ride on the Epic this Sunday, which leaves only the Raleigh XXIXer for commuting duties... :crazy:

There's nothing quite like picking up a bike from Roadworks and tonight my Roubaix was purring... I put it to good use once over Mt Vic, then popped over the ridge to Brooklyn and up Hawkins Hill...

My Expensive-Conti-Race-Light-Tube curse continues. 2nd new tube of this sort ever, and a JRA puncture within the first hour (same as last time). The freaking Ultegra rims have holes in them so off center the rim tape often leaves them exposed... No doubt the el cheapo will last for ages...

That all said, thanks again to Oli for having the bike so mint... I was very careful to replace the tube with gloves off so as not to get any dirt whatsoever onto the new bar tape
