Had a lovely ride with Simon Kennett this morning. He collected me from the bottom of Makara Rd, and we headed around the back to J'ville. We rode over Ironside Rd down into Johnsonville, then swung left and back onto Ohariu Road, and headed back the way we came. A quick detour up Rifle Range Rd for a piss near the start of the Skyline Walkway, then Takarau Gorge, out and back to Makara Beach, then home.

I've just demolished a bit of bacon, 4 eggs and a huge mug of tea. Must be time to write a couple of term tests...

It seems I've committed myself to starting a race at 1:30am a bit later this year...

Sometime in November ;)

That section of porridge has settled down too. So no need to clean the bike yet... Takes two filthy rides for that to happen ;)

It will be an interesting experiment. I'll be riding support for Simon, and then trying to hold on to finish myself :) I've never done that ride, so twice in one go's pretty good value for money I reckon

We've been talking about training rides. Anyone done Upper Hutt to Paraparaumu in one day before?

LOL thats just silly

a good training loop for enduro on the road would be; City->paikak->waikane etc->akas->upperhutt->rimu's->martinborough->rimu's->city.

and would take 6-7 hours i reckon.
