Another great read thanks Sifter. I hope your body has recovered from the crash. Sounds as if you've managed to take some positives from a rough weekend.

Thanks Farm. Yes, I've recovered well, thanks. My wrist is still spectacularly yellow, but otherwise all OK :)

I've been enjoying riding quite a bit over the last couple of weeks - a nice development.

Felt motivated to make a somewhat curious use of an autumn morning... =} http://sifter-writes-bikes.blogspot.co. ... caper.html

DREDGE...

Simon and I took the tandem cycle touring last weekend. http://sifter-writes-bikes.blogspot.co. ... t-bad.html

Tomorrow's the longest day. I'm planning on being at the top of Wright's Hill to watch the sun come up, and will be seeing how many of Wellington's quieter streets I can take in before sunset, or my legs pack in (whichever comes sooner).

Sweepstake on the km and vm?!

Thanks fellas :)

I'm going to have another crack at my longest day ride on a long, *nice* day. Pulled the pin after 107km and 3200vm. Rode up all sorts of interesting streets in Karori, Northland, Kelburn and Aro Valley, but six hours in the wet with no views wasn't much fun.

Incidentally, pulling the pin saved our four goldfish. We'd filled the pond the other day, and the hose was still lying in the bottom of the pond. I unplugged it at the tap, and when I got home, it had siphoned all but about 5cm of water from the pond. Another hour, and the cats would have been feasting...! And, I got my exam marking done that afternoon too... :)

Chur, Sifter - I'm going to use this as my future standard pin-pulling reason. Now, all I have to do is get some goldfish...

Awesome tale de tandem, by the way - Thanks, Sifter.
