I gather there's going to be something about it in Spoke Magazine this month! ;)

Only change would be the start time - move it to 6am, and finish before it's dark.

I suspect I will, but maybe without the extra sections...

I think the longest day idea was a good one. And, the idea of enjoying some scenery appeals...! The nighttime section with no traffic was a treat though!

sorry to thread hijack, but I did the 350.org ride with you guys to gauge whether I could handle the Taupo Enduro. So the answer after was 'yes, I'd do it again'.

FInished the Enduro, 10 hrs 42 mins. First lap about 5:05 Gutted I unknowly went from 7th to 13th in the last 20 kms. Thanks to Sifter, Mono, and Clive for giving me the confidence for Taupo! :)

Just shy of 1700m climbing this evening. 7 times up Mt Vic and then up to the windmill... First time with my HRM hooked up...

Simon and I finished our last Mt Vic session this evening. We rode up it 10 times from sea level to the summit... Had a nice mix of roads, paths, and MTB trails tonight. Evans Bay through Hataitai, Rata Rd, Kio Bay zig zag, Maida Vale, Green St, Hay St, Oriental Tce, Hawker St, Majoribanks St and the gutbuster! With the ride back to Northland via the University, we amassed 2000m of climbing over 45km, and 3 hours. Interesting to see my HR was down 5-10 beats from last week... It all seems to be working!

LOL, probably not, but we won't be doing 11 next week, that's for sure :D

I remember being wrecked after 4 a couple of months ago... What a great (and convenient) hill

Chur! In granny gear I was able to keep a closer eye on the gradient of the Hay St path... 40% was the steepest I saw... No wonder I couldn't ride the roadie up there...
