On possibly the muddiest, slipperiest day in winter last year I encountered Justin Leov on an XC hardtail with commuter tires on it and THE WRONG CLIP SHOES THAT DIDN'T EVEN CLIP IN TO HIS PEDALS.

Was still hussing everywhere with a great deal of speed. It was hilarious. Never underestimate how quick those top guys are, regardless of what they're on.

But you have the same awesome bike he did awesome things on, therefore, you can do EXACTLY the same things he can!

(That's how sponsorship works, right?)

Totes.
Of course the only reason I'm slow is that I'm not sponsored.

Finally finished this off, been a long time in the making. Been out for a couple of quick blasts on it - really enjoying it. Once weather clears up gonna get it powdercoated and put new decals on it.

It sounds dodgy when someone say they're looking forward to 'doing stuff to it'

But then again Dunedin is full of creepers

Classic!
Is one of the things you're planning to swap the head tube and seat tube angles?

What, don't you like having a 69 degree head angle on a DH HT?

I dunno. I've been toying with making a set of 142x12mm dropouts that can do 27.5, not hard to do on those frames... from memory.

Then a big set of dual crowns to correct the head angle.

It pretty much is the frame designed to answer the question: "can I put trippalz on my hardtail".
