Anything other than a Vespa and you may as well sign up for Mardi Gras

Are you serious?!

A moped, most of the disadvantages of commuting by bike without all the advantages.
You can't really carry stuff or passengers, you get slammed by the weather, and you're more at risk of getting hurt in an accident.
Can't your legs turn the pedals? You're heaps cooler on a bike, it's better in traffic and you might even get fit and learn some skills along the way. It's definitely more enjoyable.
Everyone knows that mopeds are for fat lazy stupid people. Go ahead and get one if you want.

Well, you did ask.

Mopeds have pedals*. Mo = motor ped = pedal

Most people commenting in this thread, and possibly the orginal poster appear to be talking about the way more common scooter type motorbikes.

* Legally, a moped does not need to have pedals, but the engine must be less than 50cc 2kw and have a top speed less than 50kph.

Scooters/mopeds are for people to lazy to ride a bicycle and not enough balls to ride a motorbike.

Plus scooters always have a habit of getting in my way which is a F@#$ing nuisance at work.
