:pmob: As you know, I'm a pretty serious kind of guy
I really need to get on my bike again though. It's been so long that the hairs on my legs have grown back...

Don't forget the ride after too ;)

Anyone keen on a nice volume roadie afterwards, bring your roadie and join us. If the wind stays down we'll stay clear of too many hills :)

I'm booked in for resistance training tomoro.... bottom bracket on my bike has kind of partially seized after last time and I only just noticed this afternoon and didn't have the tools to pull it apart :hmmm: it loosens up after a bit of riding :(

Oh no! Is it Shimano external? Can bring a BB tool for you to borrow if you like (I won't need it again til I leave - if I decide to take it - I shouldn't really need it).

You would need new BB cups though, once they have siezed they are pretty stuffed.

True... I wonder what we did with my old ones. They were quite knackered, but still rolling (just rumbly). I'll have a quick look in the am on the way out and bring up anything that might be useful just in case. I know I have at least one side that is still functioning (again, if I can find it...)

It is shimano and its just gone really stiff if you could bring the tool that would be cool... and grease as well  should be able to fix it up to last a week or so until I get a new one, i sense a large part replaement coming :paranoid:

I'm actually quite surprised its not doing well as its only about 6 months old, my previous one lasted at least 18 months

And Cam - I don't have grease, but will bring what I've got that might be useful.

Assuming its a ext BB you can take the crank arms off and then remove the seals, degrease the bearing and repack with grease.

You don't need to even take the cups out of the bb so no tools are requried.

Normally flogs out pretty quickly after this though.
