Shimano Slashes Component Prices In The Us

Postby Tugboat on Wed 24/Feb/16 10:32pm

Shimano has moved to slash prices of componentry by 20 - 40%. It appears that this is a move to help allow bricks and mortar LBSs to compete more against online retailers.

The cynic in me says that we won't see similar reductions here though.

We already have, probably not to the same extent though. Shimano NZ have been wholesaling away for cheaper than Sheppards for several months now. Got a pair of XT m8000 hubs for the same price as Sheppard would have charged me for slx.

I first read six, not slx. I thought you were being amusingly ironic.
