Should take your fishing gear next time so you can stick a trout down your pants to impress the ladies in Rotovegas! :D It's a good ride that one - I'm jealous, the weather's crap here so I've just been getting on the piss  Couple of jugs of Ginger Toms at the Dux De Lux tonight, and got shazzled on Tuesday night too - nothing else for it in weather like this!

Yup weather was certainly wet up here. With it bucketing down and thunder rolling around, figured I'd be safer and drier on the trainer ;)

But oh the humidity. After an interval session (love intervals on a trainer! ) I came off wetter than if I actually ridden in the rain!

pretty pissed off it was such a gorgeous evening in welly last night but i was stuck at work till 7 sorting out a statement for an overly pedantic person higher up the food chain, so no ride for me :(

hopefully get out over the weekend, though the gf's coming to stay so that might put paid to that plan. maybe i can send her off to some suitably girly movie like the holiday while i go for a quick spin :sneaky:

I did a couple of laps of the bays this morning and last night. What primo riding conditions they were... a far cry from the shitty weather we've had :)

Well, I went & did SB's tonight to set a benchmark for myself as I haven't timed myself for just that section of the bays before. Given I'd had a few drinks last night at the Dux and haven't been out on the bike much in the last 2 weeks I was pretty pleased.

Managed 51m40secs without really pushing at 100%. I recon I'm only about 80% fitness at the moment, plus my total time for the full loop was about 4 mins slower than my best. I'm sure I could knock at least 3 mins off. I was already 1m20s slower than my average time to the Kiwi, and felt generally sluggish the whole way round - esp going up evans. It'll be interesting to get some good miles in and give it a good nudge in a few weeks. Watch this space.

Speaking of which, long bays tomorrow - anyone keen for an early? :eh:

I rode up to Hilltop, down to Portebello, back up and over to Andy bay road, then out to Portebello again (along the flat this time) and then back into town and home.

...now I just have to find another route to ride in Dunners.
This one is a little old hat now.

F#@N WEATHER!! Sick of this grey drizzly poos!

I think I'll hit it anyway (not the piss!) - I'm sick of using the weather as an excuse.

it's totally erratic - slg and I headed out to taitapu - went from cold/threatening to drizzle to hot/sun almost breaking thru and back to cold and threatening to rain (which it did about 5 mins after we got home)

hard to believe it's summer....

There wasn't much to look at yesterday, just a whole heap of low cloud.
I've gotta figure out how to stop popping out of my new pedals mid-corner now...
