Well, they're not ruby so maybe instead of Kansas, it'll take him to Kentucky? :eh:

The silver slippers from the book were changed to Ruby for the movie because silver didn't look so good in Technicolor at the time.

Touche! :D

The Wicked series by Gregory Maguire are pretty cool

I need something to outshine my MTB shoes.

The inboard material is chrome silver, as are the straps, outboard scuff guard, and front section.

I get accused of being a roadie at the forest.

I have included a pic of my current Road shoes too.

Checked with the rep when he was in the shop I was working in, they only had mid range shoes in boring black/gray. Guess I possibly could have asked them to order me one of the cooler pairs

given how the high-end/incredibly loud shoes always seemed to be the ones that ended up being specialled out for insanely low prices at the end of the season, that's probably just wise business practice (typical kiwi riders don't seem big on the old disco slippers)

Yeah, came to the same conclusion myself. Also I think most people can't be bothered keeping cool/bright looking shoes (or bikes for that matter) clean so they don't sell.

The Mavics range of shoes look rad. Seem to be pretty pricy though :(

How shiny you ask? Well according to Rik "Your puny camera is no match for the shininess of these shoes."

I think he might be right

Are those a set of the Limited Edition Sidi shoes?

They made something like 1000 pairs only in 05?
