Riding Around Kapiti/horowhenua?

I live In Otaki and need somewhere to ride. Ive got a stinky and a DJ so places to suit both of the would be good.

You can get into the Akas from the back of the 4wd adventures place off SH1 down by mackays crossing.
Tons of tracks in there.

Yup

From SH1 take Waterfall Road through to Maungakotukutuku Rd

Some of these tracks http://tracks.org.nz/area/show/15 are on that side of the Aka's

Start with Perhams Road and explore from there

Yea its just up the road but some people say most ov it is unridable.
Is this true or are thay just shit? How hard is it? what would you R8 it out of 10? 10 being certain death

6. Rocky but not overly steep

Done it on a hardtail

Was more fun when I did it on a fully suspension trail bike though

there aren't any jumps in kapiti other than the ones at the mtb park and they're not really dirt jumps. i wanna build some, but location and getting people to help ;) is slowing me down a bit...
