Ive just moved to hamilton after returning from a year in canada, and looking to get into a few shuttle days over in rotorua over the next few months. Looking for a few boys that may be keen to do the mission, and maybe hit some local races in the north island. Let me know :-)

Also not to sure where any good local downhill spots are locally, if there are any?

Us guys from Cambridge ride the DH tracks at Te Miro a bit which have been built by locals from around the Waikato. Its on waterworks road.

Whereabouts are the dh tracks on waterworks road? im also new to the tron, have just been riding in roto of late but would be keen to find something a little closer to home

If you search waterworks road, te miro on google maps, just north of the placemark where it says Native Forest on the map, from memory. To the west of that water reservoir thing. It's been ages since I've ridden out there, but somewhere around there I think.

Hi all, i too am new to hamilton having just moved over from the UK and would be keen to hook up with any locals to ride, my bike won't be here for another month and a half but hopefully that will correspond with some nice weather.

You down hill riders should check out the tracks on the TeAroha mountain. Contact Alan at outdoor adventure shop in the main street. He will be happy to point you in the direction or give you a few names of locals who ride the down hill trails over here. 8km ride down from the top of the mountain or the option of a little cross country riding and some up hill stuff will reward you with some awesome down hill runs. We have plans to build some specialized downhill tracks over here but need the input of local riders to throw some light on the subject.

Is anyone from Hamilton heading over to the descent Rotorua short course race tomorrow and able to give me a ride? Message me you details if you can.
