"a closer look at tread creep - the unforeseen reality is that the new smooth line (left) will erode, exposing rocks & becoming a rough track. Then where do we go? A new 3rd line??"

"further up this same piece of track (above Livingstone Col) - the original line has a couple of wee drops over old gutters, but again nothing technical or difficult (just that it comes in a pretty fast dh section of track) We could have 'maintained' the drops & rocks out of existence, but I fear we would have been accused of dumbing down the track. We left it alone, now some people ride around it!?"

"Same place looking the other way - old line not technical, 'smooth' new line being laid down to right. I know that my teeth are usually rattling at this corner - it is fast & rough."
