Rev Slopestyle/4x Competition.

Postby specializedman on Fri 30/Jan/09 4:35pm

xcmtb and I are working with the organizers of the REV cycling event in Hamilton to run a new event to replace last years urban 4X race.

We are planning to turn a large grass hill into a slope style/dirt jump park.
We can have several different lines with different types of jumps ranging from ski jump style hucks down the hill to nice dirt jumps and tabletops.

We can use this venue to run a variety of events including a 4X race and a slope style-freestyle competition on the day of the REV on the 21st of February.

The cost of entry will be $5, enter on the day.

The organizers would like to find a few good Waikato dirt jump riders to test the jumps on about Friday the 20th of February. Email Mark Ingle mingle@uleisure.co.nz if you are interested in testing the course before anyone else.

We are also looking for any other ideas that people would like to see incorporated into this great fun event.

Cheers,
Gavin Wolfe

Oh yeah that's a great idea.

He could consider it a demo day and show of his bikes as they are meant to be ridden.

I'm not sure about prizes.
I think the emphasis will be on everybody just having fun but maybe a prize or 2 could be organized for the best trick, best overall rider etc.

I've been talking to a few friends up in auckland who are pretty keen to come down and show off a few tricks.
I'll probably be there, but not to show off any sick moves unless it's a barrel roll :D
