Earthquakes greater than 5.5 mean geo tech re-inspection.............. If you spot any earthquake related damage, please txt me on 0274941165. Thanks Nick Singleton."

No great loss - it was just as boring a shigle bash as I remembered. Really don't know what people see in it - at least farm park should be okay still

I couldn't care less about rapaki, Im just hoping that goldley head and the anaconda reopen one day. Cant bring myself to slog up all the sealed road just to ride back and forth along green wood.

Geez Nose, you really have no idea of the number of people that use Rapaki do you. Cyclists, walkers, runners, lovers, all sorts. Its the great outdoors bud.

there's nothing 'outsoorsy' about rapaki - not since it was buldozed and shingled - guess it appeals to people who feel threatened away from their malls and suvs

Yep lets slag rapaki off for not being difficult or technical because everyone wants difficult and technical especially on big climbs up the hills on an evening stroll..

New signage was installed on the morning of the 23rd when it was reopened, it's been closed ever since the two big shakes later on that day.

Classic they take 6 months to open it then close it again the same day - be open again in 6 months just in time for the next big shake.
there comes a point where people say f**k it and just ride/walk the tracks anyway.
just need to get those big fences down so we can link the sumit rd back in - its a bugger swinging round the end of them.

Rapaki is now open again. Does that mean we have a big earthquake due in a few hours??
