My workmate Mike canned it coming down Gebbies, rubbed his elbow to the bone, chunk out of his arse, dislocated shoulder.

After 1/4 hour his shoulder popped itself back in, so he kept going until hilltop.... idiot

I watched the front runners ride past Takahe and I thought they looked like they were taking it easy. Disgusted with this I left them to it and went back to my warm lounge to listen to Kim Hill on Radio NZ.

Hmmm - I am 40 next year - do I sound it? :eh:

Wet, windy and cold. Garmin said 2 degrees on the tops. Descending the bastard was scary. Anyone know what the Mayor thought he was doing?

My race report. Break of hitters goes. Can't follow. Bunch sits up. I attack. Drive across gap with Sam Horgan and Scott Thomas. Horgan descends like a lead balloon. I take my time on wet roads. Thomas can't follow on descent. I see in distance Horgan catching break and blowing straight through. I make contact with the break at top of Gebbies. Get into my work thinking if we can get a big enough gap I can just settle into my work and hopefully the gaps big enough to let me stay in no mans land between the two groups all the way to the finish. Bunch comes back together about 10kms from Cooptown. Kerian Hambrook drives the bunch to bottom of climb. Then oh... flaccid. No more mojo. Game over.

Wha wah
