hmmm if you are in race an put out 100w for 4 hours you will only miss the bus home by about 2 hours :o

I suspect that race legs plus 100W of on-demand boost is what is being suggested.

Suspect the motor in the seat tube engages with the crank axle. An electronic motor speed controller would probably supply constant 100W into the motor (ie torque * rpm = 100W).

The drive would disengage when not in use to reduce potential power loss (ie undetectable with the chain-off and spin the cranks test).

That is about right - the best 18650 batteries are around 9Wh each.

If money were not a problem then buying nano dendrite batteries would up the power density by about 30%. Such tubular LiPo batteries would pack in much better (no need to be end-on-end, no gaps and can be made to conform).
