Just waiting on southstar to confirm that forest will be open, and they have a driver, otherwise, all is go.
Morning session only - 10am - 1pm (approx)
which should be enough to get a few runs in (the faster you ride, the more runs you get)
all systems appear to be go :thumbsup:

Tailwind will make you go faster

on a scheduled shuttle saturday you can get a shuttle every 15-20 minutes (no queue's to wait for on friday) :thumbsup:

could still get 6-7 runs in a morning.

that's what i'm thinking, long ride out split enz, pondy, rollercoaster at the end.
I've had one friend from Palmie pike - said it's not worth it driving up for a half day of riding. I'm still estimating 10 or so (minimum) to show up
now all I need is southstar to return my call :paranoid:

My plan was to come anyway if it was off. So even more worth it for a ride after. As long as Im not rooted.

This is (hopefully) the first of many rides like this, I'm already thinking Whirinaki, 42 traverse again, Bridge to nowhere, Tree trunk gorge, day trips to Craters, W2k, maybe even a Queen Charlotte and Heaphy ride, watch this space :thumbsup:

remember the 'Vaguely organised" Vorb rides of old - Bring them back :rolleyes:

You can head around the waipa side of the forest (behind the mill) and park there, then ride up hill road

The shuttle pickup is labelled on the map (black square when zoomed out)
