1974 TM125 with home-made expansion chamber - Who would've thought that such horrific noise could come from a 1/2" stinger section?
Oh, and a TA125 twin, ported by the Yammie works mech from the 1970's GP team, with a powerband that stretched over a range of about 5rpm...there it is...no, it isn't...wooot!...end of woot...oop, that's it...crap - plugs look like they are victims of the Exxon Valdez...

I have one....its really handy for using to keep rolled up news papers tidy....

NO I did not buy it! Nor did anyone buy it for me....one of the importers gave me it trial and report back to them on.
My conclusion. Annoying piece of glorified rubber band that catches in the hairs on my arms and causes the bed sheets to scrunch up in the night.

If anyone is stupid enough to pay $60 for a rubber band, they are probably stupid enough to think they actually work.

Long time no see Nagem, I missed your staring. But what on earth are Placebo pants extremely effective for?
I had to find out:

Placebo pants are extremely effective for stopping ferrets from escaping.

:paranoid: I received one as a gift, needless to say it never gets worn, it looks really stupid, and it's annoying. And most importantly of all, it doesn't work.

The best part is they are available wholesale from the Chinese manufacturer for $1.17 and sell for $60(!!) each. I wish I had though of this scam.

I got one when they first came out at $100 a pop. I did notice better pedalling balance on the bike (I tend to push more with my right than left leg). But no amount of placebo (which I think it to be) was going to justify $100 so I took it back for their guaranteed refund which I got.

I then used a rubber band round my wrist to placebo the placebo - and guess what - it worked :p

Catch-22. If you don't pay $60 then of course it won't work.
Sigmund Freud was adamant that the effectiveness of therapy was undermined if the client did not pay for it.

Endorsements can be expensive but a photo which shows role models appearing to be taking the product seriously enough to test it is enough to generate sales. Who cares if they later say it doesn't work and gets tangled in their pubes at night, the photo has already done the job.

When I was a lot younger and working as a deckie on charter boats we used to tape 5c pieces to (mostly) womens wrists telling them it was a surefire way to stop feeling seasick.

They would get off the boat, tell us what a fantastic remedy/cure it was and return the coin.

About 50% of the time when we young deckies stopped laughing and telling them the idea was a total fake, punters would suddenly throw up on the dock.

Complete mind over matter
