No, it's not the distance, it's the terrain that would be too much for a 10yr old. There are some decent climbs in there that will be ok for younin with zero equipment but add even a light day pack and they would become a challenge

Basically says that there was no adverse impact of having the bikes in the National Park. They have also decided to allow the mtbs on the forest single track between the 2 huts where previously you had to go into the rocky riverbed on bike.

I see they are also going to allow the DOC 4 wheel motor bikes along the same singletrack... oh well :huh:

Overall, very positive tho!!
