Olympics. Yay Or Nay?

Postby Rik on Sun 18th Jul 11:12am

With only five days to go before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics starting. I find myself ponding whether they should go ahead, and the world gets some well deserved sporting relief. Or, is it going to be the world's greatest super-spreaded, vaccine consuming mistake.

We all saw this future in Akira. It doesn't turn out well.

Yay I reckon, plenty of sports going on else ware, UEFA cup, Wimbledon, Tour de France.
Heaps of cases overseas,4,151 new cases in France yesterday. If people want to go let them go.
The athletes know the risks and as long as follow quarantine protocol coming home I think it's a good thing.

What % of the athletes have been fully vaccinated?

I'm loving all the live data we get on athletes now. Seeing their live speed really shows hows making a push, rather than having to wait for the splits to come up.

I've always gone for Redbull TV. I've never tried the Live coverage (because I always ended up falling asleep) so I normally catch up the next morning
