Any Litespeed C1 Riders

Postby way_downsouth on Tue 9/Aug/11 9:15pm

Yo, I am thinking that it is time to upgrade my road ride. I am thinking that a Litespeed C1 with DA kit would be the way to go. Any advice out there?

So you're saying one will make me look relatively good?

hard to offset that.. but won't assist you looking stylish. :D

question is.. what type of frame are you after? focus on weight weenie, or aero speed. as given your size, like me.. i find that no point focus on lightweight bikes and stuff. as A) it breaks, B) weighing 83-84kg.. i am anchor not the bike.

So i focus on bikes with good power transfer through the BB chains stays etc.. and good fit that allows me to get into a quite aero position. Have not jumped on the full aero frame yet.. but want to :D

I have been looking at aero frames (and do need to look at the fit on these), based on what I can see they are designed for horsepower. Preference is probably a Venge, but the cost comes into it as well. Need to do a bit more homework.

83-84Kg - what a weight weenie!

on the cost factor, have a look at picking up a cervelo aero frame.. options are new NZ = $$$$, new off shore = $$$, or 1-2 years old on ebay = $$.

Blue or Canyan are also an option..

so you planning or thinking of buying NZ new?

and to be honest, DA kit does not add much to Ultegra SL. personally i would focus on getting the frame you want.. and be willing to compromise on the groupset.

pff, don't listen to Joel, C1 is the sexiest bike around.

but it doesn't matter what it looks like, try a test ride. you can have a ride of mine if a medium would suit you.

I had a look at a Blue frame and it seem very flexi. Don't know Canyan.
