New cranks and chainguide from Hope. Some impressive anodising on the guide and classic Hope industrial style.

Probably too heavy for my tastes but cool nevertheless.

Exactly what I was thinking. I've got $5 on a proprietary BCD. Lets run with 88mm.

Yup, sure enough... don't know the exact BCD, but this ring is a 32T - looks like there's plenty of room to go down to maybe 28T (possibly smaller) which can't be done on a 104.

And rest assured they'll probably charge crazy amounts for them. If they come anodized colours like raceface do now, they'd be cool. Also I can imagine a lot of street riders using them for micro-drivetrains if they're strong enough.

Trek 29'er prototype bike. According to Pinkbike people its not for production but to test a new platform...? I can picture a hard bottom out bending that linkage right up :crazy:
