Went riding this afternoon and came across this cool drop. Good and buggy.

If you had the bike, and the skills, and there were no po'lice in Wellington...

There would be some hell cool urban riding going down around here :D

I'm sure there would be. One thing about urban riding: get used to people yelling at you. :p

I worked at The Warehouse, and then at a hotel catering to drunken businessmen and cheap prostitutes - I know all about being yelled at :D... And yelling back, of course :paranoid: ;)

....but then, Race Face Next LP cranks cost $700, whereas Hussefelt DH cranks cost about $160 -

Are you really getting five times the crank in a Race Face crank? - I doubt it.

It's the same as weight wary gimps opting for titanium bolts to hold their bottle cage on - it's fine if you're bike is perfect anyway, and you can afford it... But otherwise there's better things to do with $50 - Or in this case, with $540...

Babs, if punters want to spend 700 ping on cranks instead of 160, let them. It keeps people like me in jobs

Please do not read into this that I am paid on commission, I dont get paid at all. Well maybe except in bike parts. Like my new maxxis minion DH 26x2.70 super reezay tyre I got yesterday :D

What is the tread pattern like on that tyre? What's it recommended for?How does it roll?

Rectangular knobs, with a grove running the length of the knob on every second knob down the centre. On the edges there is a rectangular knob with a groove running the length and this alternates with a "L" shaped knob. Check out http://maxxis.com They are more for hardpack than soft conditions. I have not had a chance to ride yet, with Xmas shopping and all, and being the 40a durometer I will break it out on special occasions only.
