hmmm just a minor set back :p

Today I also had a go on the bf's pit bike - it's really helps to build my confidence riding all of these different bikes - haven't ridden the GSXR1000 yet though :D

I impluse bought a bunch of early CB750 parts a while back and as you see they are now spread aout all over the floor of the garage. It appears from the frame and engine numbers I have two mostly complete bikes: an around about 1972 CB750K2, and an around about 1975 CB750F1.

The plan is to work out what frame and engine parts to keep, what else I want, and then go on a tardme selling frenzy.

What I want to achieve is something like.........

....this: well, profile wise anyway. long tank, bumstop seat, rearsets and clipons.

can't decide whether to do the ratbike thing (which would be cheaper) or full on really nice build. I also quite like the idea of some Lester or Morris mags: I know someone who has a set but wants gold for them. Also undecided: front end to use (there is one usable 750 set) brakes to use (compared to modern standards old bike brakes are atrocious) and a hundred other things.

I also need to get rid of my NC30 project as well.

you totally should do the next track day you can. Maybe wait for spring or something (and use the Gixxer) but you will be amazed at what your bike can do. and what you can make your bike do. baby steps though,
