The Post Bain Trial Poll

Postby Tama on Fri 5/Jun/09 4:51pm

I was thinking about this a few weeks back - how have your thoughts gone over the past 15 years?

I think it would be funny if at the press thing afterward he said "HA! GOT YA!" (assuming we have a double jeopardy law?)

Hhow did he and Joe Karam get so tight? did they know each other beforehand or does uncle joe just hate the po po's work?

Why would he want to go from being a media darling to being a bad d00d? Also I think that we don't got the double jeopardy law as such, but they couldn't charge him again with the same evidence... But if he suddenly admitted it then maybe that would be sufficient evidence to try him again. Dunno.

I guess they probably got close 'cos they spent 13 years fighting the man together :eh:

Yea obviously, but I mean how did some former all black living up north know some weirdo teenager down south?
Did they know each other? or why did Joe Karam care so much about some guy he'd never met?

Dunno. Suppose it happened over time - Karam thought Bain had been screwed, met with him, friendship developed from there.

Why do you care so much about the friends you've had for the last 13 years? :eh:

I nderstand how they developed their friendship, but I meant how did it come to be? You see things on the news and think "oh thats sad", you dont tend to think "omg the cops totally got it wrong when the only thing i know is what the media has told me, im gonna spend lots of my life + money to try and get him out of it" :eh:

I guess you'd probably have to ask Joe Karam or David Bain that.

I guess people have to accept that no one, aside from David Bain, will ever know for sure. But he's been found not guilty, and personally I think that's the right decision. To me it never made sense that a nice, sane guy with no motive (or at least far less of a motive than the other suspect) would murder his entire family.
