tell me about it, when WE were kids we had to listen to terrible rehashings of monty python sketches :p

Or Spike Milligan :

One dark morning in the middle of the night
Two dumb boys got up to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other
A deaf policeman heard the noise
Came and arrested those two dumb boys.

I hearby concede.

I said my original remark as a pisstake, afterall why in Schmoo's right mind would he accept such a challange. Surprisingly he did.

When it was all go, I was ready. Schmoo needed to get leg speed and other such things, so the challenge was delayed.

In that time, I have moved form the original finish point, 20km further from work and about 10km out of the way of the finish point. Schmoo had also crashed his MTB and subsequently injured himself, the weekend before the race was supposed to happen, a month ago.

The date had been rescheduled again, and once more has been delayed (through no fault of Schmoo's). Another race date has been mooted for Thursday or Friday. I have been given Friday off work, so that means I'll be riding home on Thursday with my weeks worth of work clothes.

So rather than postponing again, I'm pulling the pin.

and i will not take this as an opportunity to ridicule and say that you are a weak bitch and are scared etc etc. truth be told my ribs are still sore and i have lost a lot of fitness (cough cough) since cracking them. i applaud you for doing something i could not and walking away chickenman, i am a little disappointed but never mind. i'm sure in the future when i am back up to speed and the circumstances allow we can have our little race, but to the end of the northwestern instead.

in leu of this race how about we settle it with an arm wrestle :D

This would have made a great Hollywood movie - we had a grudge, character development, an arc, anticipation of a close, an anticlimax and finally an ending without an ending. And then to top it off - the snifter of a squeal.

I want my $ 14 back

But I will be watching out for the Chicken and the Smoo part Deux
