Who Do You Think Is Guilty?

Postby Tama on Tue 3/Mar/09 3:18pm

Had to be done

There's a lot of discussion recently on Vorb about who's guilty and who isn't so I thought it would be interesting to run a poll on six recent(ish) controversial NZ court cases where the person is either still in jail, getting retried, or still considered guilty by the law.

Trial by media + popular opinion FTW!

David Tamihere is for sure.
Scott Watson probably guilty of a lot of things, but not convinced about the Sounds murders.
Barlow I dunno, but again the evidence seems rather poor (two hung juries, one conviction when using bad evidence).
Bain and Ellis are totally, totally innocent.

Hmmm.

David Bain - All very strange & possibly guilty but not entirely convinced, crap police effort

John Barlow - Looks guilty, almost got off by getting to the media before the police did

Peter Ellis - Very dodgy, strange that he could be guilty but the women all got off

David Tamihere - Looked to be guilty as sin, later developments put a lot of doubt on it.

Scott Watson - Probably just a dirtbag in the right place for a conviction in a high profile case

Judging by the opening addresses...

The cops prosecutor dude is a dull, disinterested, boring old drip.
David Bain's dude is a likeable and far more lively dude.

Bain's dude wins.

There all guilty. Put it this way....

If you had to choose one to live next door to you, your children and hot looking wife which one would it be and why ?

Id choose Bain as I know my kids would get freaked out by his giant ears and run for it if he tried to come over....

Ellis.

He's most likely innocent, he's got experience with kids so he could babysit AND my hot wife would be safe as he is a homo buttpirate.

Peter Ellis, he's the most clearly innocent and harmless.

Poor bugger, life fucked up for being a bit flamboyant around some paranoid parents, cops etc.

That does not even warrant a response. Seriously, there are only 44 people in the world that believe he is innocent. The 12 jurors in his trial, and his legal team. Although most of his legal team actually do believe him guilty, they have been paid enough to betray their true feelings.
