get a 5 point harness, but don't use it as you can't be arsed belting up correctly every time you get in. However this will protect you by giving you special driving skills that you don't already have now.

i saw a grey gtr do the same thing but its flywheel bolts sheered so it broke the spigot shaft as well.It did a mean job of the chassis rails as the flywheel bounced around in there too.I took the gearbox out of mine after that and renewed the bolts and flywheel.Other than that and a couple of coil packs i haven't done alot to it in 12 years i've had it.

Gearboxes / Clutches.
I replaced the gearbox in my Astina a couple of summers ago.
I undid the cv, undid the g/box but couldn’t get it off. I tried different ways, asked around etc.
I finally got my mechanic to come over (he was on holiday and did it for free).
He did what was going to be my next step – undo the clutch bolts and prise that off with the box.
We did that and found the spigot bearing had shattered itself in its recess in the crankshaft so tightly that it had kept the box in place.
He’s been mechanicing for 30 years and never seen that happen before :exclaim:
