Giving this 650BS a shot.

New:
Wheels - WTB I25s on 40 point Hope Pro II Evos,
Tires - High Roller 2 (2.4 EXO front, 2.3 EXO TR rear),
SDG Belair 2.0 (cro-mo rails as my fat ass tend to bend Ti ones) and,
Slightly less gaudy Nukeproof bars.

Just waiting on the Icetec rotors to arrive and she'll be complete.
Still running 26" dropouts as there's 4mm of clearance by a couple of the braces.
Should do some skids to increase it.

Anyone wanna swap for their black XT brakes?

Do you end up with a higher BB with the 26" dropouts?

Looks sick.

I don't think so.
At a measure, the BB is about 333mm high, lower than geo charts state :eh:
Heard that the 650B dropouts don't add any BB drop for some reason.
They just lengthen the chainstay.
Should fix some of the pedal strike.

These big wheels make the wheelbase look shorter, least I can adjust it.

That's pretty low. About the same as my Nomad. Must have been hilarious with the 26s :D

Yeah it's lower than a Burner, Sight, Trance SX, Troy and pretty much anything else in its class.
That ride we did at Godley Head up to the bottom of Greenwood with the 26" wheels and the old Revelations must've put the BB at 12" :D

You have 20mm more travel to use too.

Hope you have short cranks.

That's the "huckz to flat" region of my suspension travel. Between the pressure, compression setting and retarded leverage curve of my bike, it can be considered a 150mm bike for pedally traverses

170mm is the shorter of the 2 popular size right?

Yurp.

This thread is way too enduro, have a hardtail.

Went from 10sp XT to 9sp x0 to see how well it goes, turns out it's pretty alright with the narrow/wide. Haven't ridden it much though. Wish I could get the bars lower but I don't want brake lever/top tube interference. you can see the dent from the previous owner in the photo :( maybe I should get tripalz...

Way too many clean, sitting in the garage/living room bikes in this thread.

My new toy, 2015 Trance SX. Currently bone stock cos i'm now too broke to do anything to it.

Looking at getting some Crank Bros Mallets to stick on it so I don't have to take SPDs off the hardtail.

Loving it out at Woodhill though, the whole slushy rear end makes it a TON easier to keep the rubber on the ground over the bumpy bits, and doesn't make my old bones creak when it lands :D

Plus the uber Pike front end absorbs a ton of my fail.

PS. File upload thing here is shit.

Ah nope.... I know for a fact that the majority of the bikes pictured get ridden pretty hard

Yup I'm working on the hardtail too ;)

Let's see how you go with that gearing in Hanmer.

34/32 is sick. Goes up the guts of worsleys  And by goes up the guts, I mean the sick does before it comes out of my mouth when I'm dying at the top of the hill.

And pff your trance still looks clean. I'm usually too busy riding to take photos on the trail ;)

Have some mud.

I have no doubt they do, just a lot of the pictures posted are of shiny bikes in the garage :D

Like mine is currently I guess. Except my garage is way too much of a mess to take a photo in!
