softtails dont necessarly have a rear shock, they are different to full sus bikes, in the case of the above bike the rear flexs. have a look here http://www.vorb.org.nz/ftopicp-1723713.html

Soft tail means something like less than 4" travel. or the frame uses soft materials in the back that make it flex instead of a shock
