If you want to check out more action from the day, please go visit Mike Newell's site - he did an awesome job lugging all the camera equipment around those hills in that hot weather. Mike I salute you!! http://www.officialphotographer.co.nz/Events
To all of those people who helped out - a big thanks and if I forget someone, please don't be offended....Blair, Toby, Birdie, Grobbie, Nadia, Leigh, Andrew, Mirian, Trudi, Kaila, Wayne, mum and dad...THANKS
To Rebekah & Craig and all of their dedicated team - you guys ROCK.....if people only knew how much work goes into organising an event, before and after! WOW...thank you just doesn't seem to be enough.
Cheers to Tama for coming out and posting his awesome pics - maybe next year we can convert you to a s/s to get a feel for the action?
Speaking of which - I do apologise to all of those people who were "exposed" to Aaron's bare bottom. Next year I promise he'll wear more (or less for the right money??)
And finally to our South Island Singlespeed champs for 2009 - great riding guys! Watch out Rotorua....looks like the South Island might be the one's representing NZ at the World's this year...
Men's winner - Brendan Sharratt; 2nd Chris Burr; 3rd Carl Fischer
Women's winner - Brenda Clapp; 2nd Karen Collins; 3rd Mel Blomfield.
Our star junior rider - dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood - Logan Horn.

Here are some photos from the 2009 South Island Singlespeed Champs, held at Living Springs, Christchurch on the 28th of March.
Brendan Sharratt won the men's race while wearing pink pyjamas and Bob (Brenda) Clapp won the women's race - dressed like an XC racer.
Great event!

I might have to get creative for next month
