Le Petite Brevet 2014 - Live Tracking

Le Petite Brevet 2014 Live Tracking

Saturday 15th Novmber
Start: 7:00am

The Petite Brevet is going down this weekend!!

Something new for this year, just like its big brother the Kiwi Brevet, you be able to follow Me and the other Brevetters right here, LIVE on vorb.

Come Saturday morning you will be able to use the interact Google map above to track how we're all getting on.

This is going to be something new for vorb, and a bit of a pet project for me personally. You'll have to let me know how it goes, because foolishly I'm going to be one of the dots on the map rather than sat here checking the dots are moving. If it all goes horribly wrong, I sorry, but I doubt I'm going to be able to fix it out in the back of beyond :hmmm:

Until then I hope the bloody weather forecast improves :satan:

I'll be over at the bach, Little Akaloa, so will keep an eye out for any riders, cheering them on if I see them... Good luck, y'all!

When has the weather forecast ever been right.
It's going to be warm, sunny and a tailwind everywhere we ride this weekend.

Ah, Brian Alders signed up, he will be all done and dusted by about 12 hours, so, say sunset on day 1?

Rik and Noel, I FORBID YOU to beat my wooden spoon record of 36 hours 15 minutes :satan:

36 hours 15 minutes sounds about what I'm aiming for.
Had a ride out to cookie time today to stock up on One Square Meals.
See you all on Saturday.

By the way. the forecast you posted on the blog is quite wrong now. Look at the 3 day map
http://www.metservice.com/maps-radar/ra ... cast-3-day
and Saturday is gonna be a sweet nor'wester, might be a bit of weather overnight into Sunday, but then Sunday daytime is good and clear.

and yr.no has it looking good too!!!

Go well Brevetteers!

Just finished packing. It looks like I'm carrying a lot more than Rik. I might have packed to much.

20 starters at Hansen park this morning.
Woke to a very very windy morning here is Christchurch this morning with wheels bins flying. The wind had settled by start time so fingers crossed it doesn't pick up again.
I started them at 0710hrs so they have until 1910hrs tomorrow night to complete the 280km course.
Good luck to the riders and enjoy following the rest of you.
