Hi Waipa People. Just to let you know we are developing (early stages) a few tracks in the Bob Horsfall and Rotary Park reserves down by the Kiwi House in Otorohanga. I have been eyeing this reserve area up since I started working down here in 2004 and finally 7 years later I have found enough supporters in the council and community board to let me loose. First track is a x country loop using the lower levels of both parks and linking in with some old unused walking trails. The second track will be a downhill track in Bob Horsfall reserve, from Mountain View road down to the Maori Wardens hut in the domain. This will have an unique option for a car shuttle back up (lazy buggers) for the downhill specialists who don't want to face the grovel climb back up the road for another run. Potential for a few other grunty climbs and downhill sections in the future but looking at getting these two trails up and running first. Hoping to have the x - country loop done by February and the downhill by May-June next year.

He's right, he's (almost) always right. Just don't rush it through - Take your time, look at teh whole picture, not only the meter you are workin' on. Quality, mate... Dig it properly in the first place, you won't regret it.

yep best wishes, a lot of traffic passin gthru there, ill ride there - on the way thru to skiing or to the tongariro NP area trails.

Going to run the GPS over it shortly to see what distance we got here.
